HÖRMANN control technology (HKS) - our smart control solution for your stable

The HÖRMANN control technology allows you to centrally control and regulate a variety of technical systems in the stable. With just one control unit, side ventilations, lighting systems, ridge light-air units and manure removal systems can be operated. The new concept is infinitely expandable. For reliable automatic operation it can, for example, be equipped with special temperature and weather sensors. With the new version HKS V6, fans and similar devices can also be managed. Another advantage: HÖRMANN control technology reduces your electricity consumption.

HÖRMANN concept LED (HKL) - the clever LED technology to save electricity

A targeted lighting control increases milk yield. Cows benefit most from 16 hours of LED daylight (150-200 lux) and 8 hours of darkness, according to studies. Lighting costs electricity and therefore usually money. The concept LED technology developed by HÖRMANN makes it possible to illuminate the stable or hall optimally with very low electricity costs and virtually maintenance-free. Combined with the HÖRMANN control technology (HKS), dynamic dimming is possible, which provides optimal lighting at minimal power consumption.

Feed barriers

The self-catching gate

The self-catching gate with latch locking scores points due to the resting position of the swing in the open state. This makes this self-catching gate very quiet and low-wear. So that animals can comfortably reach the feed through the gate despite the fixed swing, HÖRMANN self-catching gates have a so-called swivel rung.

HÖRMANN self-catching gates are pre-assembled at the factory in Buchloe and divided into transportable sections. This enables quick and often on-site assembly. Because the self-catching gates are bolted, feeding place width, neck width or the entire layout can be changed afterwards. HÖRMANN self-catching gates are not available in standard lengths but are always produced according to the respective needs. We will be happy to advise you.

The swivel rung

The swivel rung is swung to the side in daily operation and expands the neck area. In emergencies, lying animals can be freed. The recessed pivot protects the animals from injuries because no screw protrudes. The lower fork head on the swing stabilizes it and transfers the animals' force to the stable lower tube. Depending on breed and age, we have different designs. Thus the lower and upper tubes have diameters of 1”, 1 ¼” or 1 ½” and the heights are adapted to the animal's age. The upper locking sleeve is easily accessible. Malfunctions due to dirt are excluded. If animals are to be fixed, the locking sleeve provides safe catching of the animals by pre-fixing the swing. Using pins, individual animals can be specifically fixed while the rest of the self-catching gate is open.

The support column

As a support column we usually use a
2" thick-walled tube (Ø 60 mm, wall thickness 5.6 mm) or a 70 x 70 mm square tube.
With different holders the feed barriers can be attached to any desired support column or ceiling support, positioned centrally on the barrier wall or set at an angle.

The HÖRMANN arched self-catching gate with safety swing for cattle and goats

With the arched self-catching gate, animals can quickly escape due to the upward-open construction. An advantage that is even necessary for horned animals.
The safety swing on the HÖRMANN arched self-catching gate offers animals more freedom of movement while feeding. In emergencies, lying animals can thus be freed. The arched self-catching gate is clamped with U-bolts onto a galvanized square tube of 70 x 70 mm. This provides a stable hold while offering flexibility for later adjustments. In addition to the arched self-catching gate for cattle, we also have arched self-catching gates for goats.

As a manufacturer of stable equipment, we design and produce calf pens for our stables ourselves. This allows us to ensure that calves are raised under optimal conditions. At the same time, we can offer our customers an attractive price-performance ratio.

HÖRMANN calf pens give the calves sufficient space and freedom of movement in the pen. In designing the calf pens, we also placed value on making our calf pens robust and easy to clean.

Our solutions for manure removal of the walkways

For paved walkways in cattle barns, the wide scraper manure removal has proven its worth. HÖRMANN develops and produces the cable-driven manure removal for this purpose. This includes the scraper, the drive and the deflection rollers. The wide scrapers are available for all surface coverings and are characterized by an extremely robust and heavy-duty construction.
The HÖRMANN cable drive stations are suitable for floor and wall mounting. The wide scraper is moved with a feed and a return winch. In combination with the HKS, precise control with multiple start and end points is possible. The HÖRMANN wide scraper is also available as a reversing scraper, foldable in the middle or with laterally limited wings. With only 22 cm height it is easily accepted by the animals. Large drive winches and deflection rollers protect the pull cable, which is made either of V2A or plastic. Further information and our various discharge variants can be found under Details.

Box-/walkway coverings

For rubber coverings for high cubicles or walking areas, HÖRMANN customers can use the range of our partners: Kraiburg and Huber Technik.

Of course, we support you in choosing the optimal lying mats for high cubicles or suitable rubber coverings for the walking areas.

High cubicle coverings: comfort mats for dairy and young cattle guarantee an animal-friendly, dry and non-slip lying surface. The rubber coverings are available as seamless roll goods, with puzzle system, as individual mats or as a built-in version with profiles.
Breastboards influence lying down and getting up behavior and ensure clean cubicles. For the breast thresholds made of rubber, plastic or wood, we also supply the appropriate fastening material.
Walkway coverings: rubber coverings for paved walking surfaces or slatted floors are a soft and non-slip surface in the stable.

Slatted floors

HÖRMANN has worked for many years with the experienced slatted floor manufacturers NAGL and ANDERS BETON. This allows us to guarantee you a non-slip surface, a stable design, long service life and animal-appropriate functionality according to DIN 18908. The slatted floors are produced with concrete of strength class C35/45 (formerly B45) and are highly resistant to chemical influences. Troughs and accessories

Both for the drinking devices used and for any accessories, we rely on quality and durability. That is why HÖRMANN has cooperated for many years on drinking devices and troughs with the company Suevia, whose products offer high functionality and long service life.

For cattle brushes we rely on the proven brushes from SCHURR, as well as the hoof care supplies from WERNER. Our further accessories for stable equipment also include stable fans, ventilation hoses and precast concrete elements as breast and bedding thresholds. Simply tell us your need for accessories and we will find the right solution for you.
