Additional Types of Stables
A cattle barn is not just a cattle barn. With our many years of experience in stable construction, we know exactly what matters in a free-stall dairy barn, bull stable, calf barn, suckler cow barn, young livestock barn, and feeder barn. Often it's the small things that have a big impact on animal welfare or significantly simplify daily work processes.
When looking for the best solution for your personal stable, we make no compromises in terms of animal welfare or labor efficiency. We place great importance on harmonious integration with existing buildings during expansions, regardless of whether you are planning a small or large stable.
Young livestock barn
Young livestock barns aim to support the calf in growing into a productive, healthy cow. Already at the beginning of planning young livestock barns, the development of an individual rearing plan that defines the corresponding goals must be established. The optimal stable design for the operation is then oriented toward this. Almost all types of stables can be realized for young livestock barns. The range of young livestock barns extends from single-row to space-saving comb stall arrangements.
We advise you on your young livestock barn and show you which variant is best for you. Our extensive stable equipment offers are tailored to the respective age group size of the young livestock. Additionally, we have two variants of covered single stalls for young livestock in our range.
Feeder barn
Changing the diet from milk to roughage is a significant milestone in a calf's life. At the same time, this sets the stage for good and stable development of the animal. Daily weight gain becomes a key criterion. During specialized rearing to feeders (approximately 200 kg), optimal rearing conditions are crucial. Feeders can achieve high performance both in a cold barn and in an insulated warm barn with ventilation and heating. Both variants have their advantages and disadvantages, which must be weighed during stable planning. We are here to advise you.
Suckler cow barn
In suckler cow farming, the calves stay with the cow from birth until weaning at around ten months old. Systems such as the deep bedded pack method or deep litter stalls are very popular in suckler cow barns. Practice shows that alongside manure removal systems, straw consumption is another important factor in the planning and successful use of the suckler cow barn.
One- or two-room barns with deep litter in the lying area and a paved feeding area are suitable for housing suckler cows. Additionally, bedding cubicle barns with high or low cubicles prove effective. The cubicle free-stall barn can be executed with an internal feeding table, as an open-front barn, or with an external feeding table.
