Biogas
Distribution exclusively through HÖRMANN GMBH & Co. KG in Austria
Renewable energies play an increasingly important role. Biogas plants, in which both renewable raw materials and manure are fermented, have proven themselves in agriculture. Biogas plants have ecological and economic advantages. By using manure and dung as a free raw material, renewable raw materials (field crops), and organic waste from industry and commercial buildings for energy production, operators of biogas plants become permanently independent of rising raw material costs. In addition, they achieve profits from the sale of electricity and heat as well as the production of high-quality fertilizers.

For the construction of a biogas plant in Austria, adapted to livestock farming and available organic raw materials, Hörmann GmbH & Co. KG is your competent partner. We have the necessary know-how to perfectly utilize organic raw materials in synergy with energy production. Depending on the need, we offer various fermentation processes for you. Our product range includes small-scale agricultural plants starting at 25 kilowatts up to plants in the megawatt range. From consulting to planning to the realization of the construction project, we take on every task and handle the very complex official procedures for our customers.
20–30 kW Compact biogas plant
As an alternative to the round fermenter, we offer the labyrinth fermenter, which has already proven itself in manure technology. This type of fermenter includes a closed fermentation tank with forced substrate flow in a labyrinthine ring channel. The substrate is passed through a chopping/stirring tunnel with a submersible motor mixer, achieving efficient crushing and optimal mixing in one operation. The result is energy savings and better preparation of the substrate for biological degradation.
150-500 kW biogas plant
Ring-in-ring system
Implementation:
- Storage-flow process in the ring-in-ring concept
- Design of system-specific plants with future-oriented expansion possibilities
Advantages:
- Minimal space requirement due to compact design
- Low self-sufficiency in electrical and
thermal energy - Professional control of the entire plant with PLC technology
- Low supervision effort and reliability through a high level of automation and online monitoring
- Low maintenance and upkeep costs
25-500 kW biogas plant
Storage-flow system
Implementation:
- Storage-flow process in a 2 to multi-tank system
- Design of system-specific plants with future-oriented expansion possibilities
Advantages:
- Use of existing end stores
- Integration of existing tanks into the biogas system
- Professional control of the entire plant with PLC technology
- Low supervision effort and reliability through a high level of automation with online monitoring
- Low maintenance and upkeep costs
100 kW manure biogas plant
Implementation:
- Decentralized energy generation
- Synergy use livestock– energy production
