Privacy Policy
Responsible party in terms of data protection laws is:
Collecting general information
When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider, and similar information. This is exclusively information that does not allow conclusions to be drawn about your person. This information is technically necessary to correctly deliver the content of websites you requested and is mandatory when using the Internet. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us to optimize our internet presence and the underlying technology.
Cookies
Like many other websites, we also use “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. This automatically provides us with certain data like IP address, browser used, operating system on your computer, and your connection to the Internet.
Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to a computer. The information contained in cookies allows us to facilitate your navigation and correctly display our websites.
Under no circumstances will the data we collect be passed on to third parties or be linked to any personal data without your consent.
Of course, you can view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are regularly set to accept cookies. You can deactivate the use of cookies at any time through the settings of your browser. Please use the help function of your internet browser to find out how to change these settings. Please note that some features of our website may not work if you have disabled the use of cookies.
SSL Encryption
To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use current state-of-the-art encryption techniques (e.g., SSL) over HTTPS.
Contact Form
If you contact us via email or contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing the request and for possible follow-up questions.
Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (following: Google). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer that allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Due to the activation of IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.
You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) from being captured by Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: Browser Add-on to deactivate Google Analytics.
In addition or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages by clicking this link. This will install an opt-out cookie on your device. This will prevent Google Analytics from capturing data for this website and this browser in the future, as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.
Use of Google Maps
This website uses Google Maps API to visually display geographic information. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes, and uses data about the use of map functionalities by visitors. For more information about data processing by Google, please refer to the Google Privacy Notice. There, you can also change your personal privacy settings in the privacy center.
For detailed instructions on managing your own data in connection with Google products, click here.
Social Plugins
Social plugins from the providers listed below are used on our web pages. The plugins can be recognized by the respective logo.
Information, including personal data, may be sent to the service provider through these plugins and may be used by them. To prevent the unconscious and unwanted collection and transmission of data to the service provider, we use a 2-click solution. To activate a desired social plugin, it must first be activated by clicking on the corresponding switch. Only with this activation of the plugin is the collection of information and its transmission to the service provider triggered. We do not collect personal data through the social plugins or their use.
We have no influence on what data an activated plugin collects and how it is used by the provider. Currently, it must be assumed that a direct connection to the provider's services is established and at least the IP address and device-related information are recorded and used. There is also the possibility that service providers attempt to store cookies on the computer used. Please refer to the data protection notices of the respective service provider for specific information on what data is collected and how it is used. Note: If you are simultaneously logged in to Facebook, Facebook can identify you as a visitor to a particular page.
We have integrated social media buttons from the following companies on our website:
Facebook Inc. (1601 S. California Ave - Palo Alto - CA 94304 - USA)
XING AG (Gänsemarkt 43 - 20354 Hamburg - Germany)
YouTube (LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA)
Google AdWords
Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website via a Google ad, Google Adwords will set a cookie on your computer. The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on a Google ad. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Thus, cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users.
If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can opt-out by declining the setting of a cookie required for this purpose - for example, by using a browser setting that generally disables the automatic setting of cookies or setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com”.
Please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not want any measurement data recorded. If you have deleted all your cookies in the browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.
Use of Google Remarketing
This website uses the remarketing function from Google Inc. The function serves to present interest-based advertisements to visitors within the Google advertising network. A “cookie” is stored in the browser of the website visitor that allows the visitor to be recognized when they visit web pages that belong to Google's advertising network. On these pages, ads that relate to content previously viewed by the visitor on websites that use Google's remarketing function can be presented. According to its own statements, Google does not collect personal data during this process. However, if you do not want Google's remarketing function, you can deactivate it fundamentally by adjusting your settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies for interest-based advertising through the Network Advertising Initiative by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.
Your rights to information, correction, blocking, deletion, and objection
You have the right at any time to obtain information about the personal data we have stored about you. Likewise, you have the right to correction, blocking, or, apart from the required data storage for business transactions, deletion of your personal data. To do so, please contact our data protection officer. The contact details can be found at the bottom.
To be able to consider a data block at any time, it is necessary to keep the data in a lock file for control purposes. You can also request the deletion of the data if there is no legal obligation to archive it. As far as such an obligation exists, we will block your data on request.
You can make changes or revoke a consent by notifying us with effect for the future.
Change of our data protection regulations
We reserve the right to occasionally adapt this privacy statement so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the privacy statement, e.g., when introducing new services. For your renewed visit, the new privacy statement applies.
