Exterior walls of a simple machinery hall or a feed storage barn made of steel can be clad with wood or trapezoidal sheet metal.

Wood impresses with its naturalness, aesthetics, and warm appearance. A free-span binder construction, for example, with steel columns and conical glued laminated timber upper chords, combines both materials sensibly.
